Dane's Birthday

We conveniently coordinated June's blessing with Dane's birthday, so it was a multi-family extravaganza!
On the morning of his birthday, I went to the donut shop while it poured rain to get him some birthday donuts. When he woke up and found his surprise, he thought it was so amazing that donuts somehow ended up on the table on his birthday! What a happy coincidence!
I later discovered that he sampled them all:
It was a wet, muddy day, but little boys are not deterred by such things.

Then we met Daddy for lunch at work:

And when evening finally came, Jiichan joined us for dinner at Chick-fil-A!
And then bowling!

I have never scored over 100 in bowling...and the record continues.

I think he had a very happy birthday.
Then, a couple of days later, we had a big party, complete with cousins, Grandma Frost, aunts and uncles, Jiichan and Baachan, and cake pops!
Rika, Meghan, and I worked hard on them, but I'm pretty sure they need to be submitted to cake wrecks. They tasted about as good at cake crumbled in frosting and covered in candy melts could taste.
We also had a very tough pinata.

And then a bunch of amazing presents.

I am pretty sure he's the luckiest boy in the world.
Happy Birthday, Dane! We love you like crazy!

June Blessing

We had a wonderful blessing weekend, with lots of family in town. We are grateful for everyone who traveled to be here for June's special day. Joel gave her a sincere, lovely blessing, and she looked beautiful in the dress my grandmother made for me when I was blessed.
Our happy little family:

And then beautiful June with her big brother, Dane:

All of these beautiful photos are courtesy of Meghan, who gave us an amazing photo shoot!

On the Town

Stephen, Meghan, Lauren, Molly, Claire, and Mom Frost came out for June's blessing/Dane's birthday. During their short visit, we tried to show them a good time.
The kids had the traditional little tea party with Grandma:
Doesn't Lauren look so pretty and grown up?
Then Joel led us on a personal tour of the Stephenson Oklahoma Cancer Center:

We had a little photo shoot in the patio:

Why is that man wearing a woman's shirt?
Oh, it was Ami.
Trying to get the cousins to huddle up together:

How did I get such a beautiful boy?
And a beautiful girl:
I am about three months late getting these pictures posted, and it is amazing how much June has changed in that time.

Sweet feet:

Playing chess in the chemotherapy area (it was Saturday, so no patients were around)
Then we grabbed a little snack and had a picnic on the grounds of the Oklahoma Capitol building:
